BURNS TASTING

Sunday, January 25th at 2:00 PM

Deacon Brodies Whisky Bar, 247 Elgin Street Ottawa

Each year on January 25th, Scots around the world gather to celebrate Robert Burns, Scotland’s national poet. Known affectionately as Rabbie Burns, his writing captured everyday life, love, politics, and humanity with wit, rebellion, and heart. Burns Night has become a global tradition of poetry, music, whisky, and good company.

At Deacon Brodies, Robert Burns Day is more than a date on the calendar. It’s a full-day celebration of Scottish culture, beginning with a guided Scotch whisky tasting, Sunday, at 2:00 PM, and continuing into an evening of food, music, and traditional Burns Night festivities.

This afternoon event offers a focused and relaxed way to honour the occasion through whisky, storytelling, and shared appreciation of Scotland’s distilling traditions.

This tasting is designed as a thoughtful experience in its own right, featuring five carefully selected single malts enjoyed at a comfortable pace before the evening festivities take place later in the evening.
