Four Drams to Warm the Soul: A Scotch Tasting at Deacon Brodie’s
As the evenings grow cooler and Ottawa slips into its golden season, there’s no better way to keep warm than with a fine whisky in hand. Join Deacon Brodie’s Whisky Bar on Sunday, October 19th 2025 from 4–6 PM for an autumn edition of our Scotch Tasting Experience, hosted by whisky storyteller David Sharp.
This cozy afternoon features four outstanding single malts, each thoughtfully paired with complimentary chocolates and a snack plate of meat, cheese, and crackers. Whether you’re a longtime enthusiast or curious newcomer, you’ll enjoy a guided tasting that blends discovery, flavour, and warmth in every glass.
The October Lineup:
Old Pulteney 15 Year Old – Maritime elegance with salted toffee and citrus spice, shaped by sea air.
Glenfiddich 16 Year Old – Aston Martin Formula One Edition – A union of craftsmanship and precision, with layers of orchard fruit and refined oak.
The GlenAllachie 8 Year Old – A vibrant Speyside malt bursting with honey, heather, and spice - youthful, bold, and beautifully balanced.
Laphroaig Cairdeas 2024 “Cask Favourites” Edition – Islay intensity in full force: peat smoke, vanilla, and coastal brine in perfect harmony.
